Farewell Scenic Emerald

Our last night on the Scenic Emerald and we were asked if we'd like to dine in the special L'Amore restaurant..... we we did.

It was a French Gastronomic Extravaganza

This was the appetiser - A deconstructed Nicoise Salad.

They put it all on.  It's a real show. All plates go on the table at the same time and they use this comical sized table leg of a pepper grinder.

Here Valentin is spooning the green pea soup over the fish wrapped in pancake. It sounds disgusting, but it's actually delicious!

There were 4 more courses like that and then the dessert/cheese.

I chose the cheese - they come around with a big trolley filled with all sorts of cheeses and you choose a which ones you want.  They were all spectacular!  And not a Kraft Single Slice in sight!
(Angela & Esther - you would be so proud of me!)

Jenny chose this multi elemented plate of chocolate cake, coffee flavoured crème brûlée and a toffee thing over something else yummy.

Then we watched the sunset from the front of the boat whilst listening to a French singer belt out a French version of Frank Sinatra's 'My Way'.  I mean, does she get any better than this?

Farewell Scenic Emerald.  It has certainly been a pleasure getting to know you.
